Daytime temperatures
The middle of the day is usually comfortable for walking. On a clear day, the sun can still feel strong around Koutoubia, the newer parts of the city and the Palmeraie, so sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat can still be useful.
The medina feels different from an open square. Narrow streets, covered souks and shaded riads can stay cool while Jemaa el-Fna feels warm in the sun. This is why layers work better than one heavy coat.
